The Downfall of the Ku Klux Klan
The KKK still exist today only with alot less people then there were in recent times. As you can see on the left, between 1920 and 1942 there was a major increase of about 2 million people. It is estimated that at one point there were about 6 million members in the Ku Klux Klan, that was around 1924. From that point on the amount of members in the KKK continued to decrease. Within 82 years the Ku Klux Klan lost about five and a half million members. In 2006 there were only about 3,000 members.
