What did the KKK think, and what did they want?

The Ku Klux Klan had very racial ideas floating through their minds.  They hated anyone that wasn't like them.  It didn't matter how good of a person the man or woman was, the KKK hated them if they weren't white.   The KKK didn't like the direction the country was headed in.  Slavery was just abolished by the 14th amendment.  African Americans were starting to get an education.  Other races could bear arms and vote.  What the Klansmen wanted was white supremacy, and how they went after it was cruel and wrong to do.



This is a picture of a red robe which is worn by Titan or county leader. High ranking Klan officers wore two breast patches.  Regular members wore white robes.
